My work moves between figuration and abstraction. My creative process varies: sometimes it is intuitive, working directly with the piece and allowing forms to emerge as they suggest themselves during the process. At other times, the work develops from a prior idea that I gradually realize, confronting the technical challenges required to make that idea tangible.

Mi obra se mueve entre la figuración y la abstracción. Mi proceso creativo varía: a veces es intuitivo, trabajando la pieza y dejando que las formas surjan según se van sugiriendo durante el proceso. En otras ocasiones, la obra nace de una idea previa que voy desarrollando, afrontando los retos técnicos necesarios para hacer tangible esa idea.

I was born in Ibiza, where I usually live.
A self-taught sculptor, after more than thirty years of working commercially with wood I decided to use that knowledge to give free rein to my more creative side. I began creating sculptures in which the main material is recycled wood from industrial waste, sometimes combined with stone and metal.

The main reasons why I chose sculpture as my artistic medium are, on the one hand, its three-dimensionality: a piece offers as many perspectives as there are viewpoints from which it can be observed. On the other hand, sculpture can be touched, its forms followed and explored, adding a sensory experience that goes beyond mere observation.

Nací en Ibiza, donde habitualmente resido.
Escultor autodidacta, después de más de treinta años trabajando la madera de manera comercial, decidí aprovechar esos conocimientos para dar rienda suelta a mi lado más creativo y empecé a crear esculturas en las que el material principal es madera reciclada procedente del desecho industrial, interactuando en ocasiones con piedra y metal.

Creo que los motivos principales por los que me decanté por la escultura como medio de expresión artística son, por un lado, su tridimensionalidad, que hace que una pieza tenga tantos enfoques como puntos de vista desde los que puede ser observada, y por otro la posibilidad de ser tocada, de recorrer sus formas, añadiendo una experiencia sensorial más allá de la mera observación.
