Con la serie de objetos „Souvenir“, Stefanie Heinrich explora los espectros del cambio, de la metamorfosis. Se presentan souvenirs que la gente ha comprado en Ibiza y que ahora Stefanie Heinrich ha traído de vuelta a Ibiza. Por un lado, los souvenirs hacen referencia al turismo (de masas) con sus extraños excesos. Estos excesos pueden verse aquí en la naturaleza del souvenir. Stefanie Heinrich erforscht mit der Objektserie „Souvenir“ die Spektren der Veränderung, der Metamorphose. Es werden Souvenirs präsentiert, die Menschen auf Ibiza gekauft haben und nun durch Stefanie Heinrich nach Ibiza zurückgebracht wurden. Souvenirs sind einerseits ein Verweis auf (Massen-)Tourismus mit seinen skurrilen Auswüchsen. Diese Auswüchse zeigen sich hier in der Beschaffenheit des Souvenirs. Andererseits ist das Souvenir eine Referenz der Erinnerung. Kurze Texte des früheren Besitzers lassen die persönliche –positive- Geschichte des Souvenirs erahnen. Der Betrachter erfährt so unmittelbar die Ambivalenz zwischen der empfundenen Befremdung bei der Betrachtung des Gegenstandes und dem emotionalen Charakter einer menschlichen Lebenserfahrung. Durch den Akt des Zurückbringens wird nun die Geschichte des Souvenirs fortgeschrieben und erfährt so die nächste Veränderung…
